I'm doing a lot of work right now putting together ideas for food articles/essays/thoughts on the road trip. I would like to have something foodie to write about in (some) depth for each destination. It's fascinating doing the research on food in the places we'll be traveling. Some of the ideas I've been exploring:
eating cows in Canada (a mad idea?)
what's the local/organic movement doing up there?
Croissants and Macaroons in Montreal
Prairie Cuisine
I've run across great food magazines (Food For Thought) for example that comes out of Alberta that I'd never heard of.
I've gotten a few recommendations from friends, but I'd like to hear more. Where to eat? What foodie things to write about?
